Position Title: Fraud Investigation Specialist

Job Summary:

The Fraud Investigation Specialist will be responsible for detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud within the organization and its client projects. This role involves analyzing financial data, identifying fraud patterns, conducting thorough investigations, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fraud detection, investigation techniques, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed investigations into suspected fraud cases within the organization and its client projects.
- Analyze financial statements, transaction data, and other relevant documents to identify fraudulent activities.
- Develop and implement effective fraud detection and prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with the compliance and risk management teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and present findings to senior management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in fraud investigation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs to raise awareness about fraud prevention across the organization.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to detect and investigate potential fraud.
- Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or similar are preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fraud investigation, forensic accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using fraud detection software and analytical tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
